Promotion Person

We recently had a Promotion Manager at Republic Records, Steve Richards, talk to us about his experience in the music industry. He had some great stories and it was interesting to hear about what it's like to be around celebrities and artists. It was nice to hear the stories about how humble that artists that he had to deal with were. Such as Post Malone and Harry Styles. Steve spoke about how Post Malone sat down with one of his buddies and played video games all day, while Harry Styles introduced himself to everyone and was a very nice person. 

I also thought it was interesting how they chose the single and who exactly picks it. Everyone has some input, both the record company, and the artist. Ultimately the artist is the one who's in charge and has the final say. 

I really enjoyed this conference and thought it was nice for him to talk about the well known people that he works with.
